Introducing the new RANGER Single Shot Controller Module taking RANGER surveying systems into a wider range of operational applications

The Single Shot Controller Module incorporates a 99 minute timer, large LCD display, Infra Red communication system and simple 3 selector button operating system.

During the process of operation, the timer screen describes and displays its actions on the LCD Screen, keeping the operator informed to the status of the survey until its final survey results are established.

Once the survey is completed, results are displayed on the LCD screen with 2 rows of information enabling the operator to see at a glance the azimuth and inclination, plus quality checking magnetic intensity and magnetic dip information.

Operating the system is as simple as pressing 3 buttons and the survey is underway. Total Results produced when taking a survey include measurements for Azimuth, Inclination, Magnetic Intensity, Magnetic Dip, Gravity Roll, Magnetic Tool Face, Gravity Intensity, Temperature and Timer setting.

The Single Shot Controller Module is simply attached to the RANGER Survey Instrument in place of the Top Cap. The resulting assembly provides 2 separately powered components, measuring instrument and controller module, both with an estimated 2-3 year battery life. The new single shot modular tool provides a single piece surveying tool solution without the need of a RSC to conduct surveys.
